JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. – A Johnson County woman was arrested after police said she used abox cutter to slice a man’s penis following allegations of child molesting involving her daughter’s boyfriend and her 2-year-old son, police said.
On Saturday, Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a Franklin trailer near 800 South U.S. Old 31 on reports of criminal confinement and battery. A man identified as Christopher Dail told police that his girlfriend’s mother, Bonita Vela, cut his penis with a box cutter after holding him inside the trailer for three hours. Dail told police that Vela told him the only way he could leave the trailer alive was if he allowed her to cut his penis.
When police questioned Vela about the incident, she told them that various prior incidents involving Dail and her 2-year-old son prompted her to accuse him of child molesting. Vela told investigators that if Dail let her cut his penis, she would not move forward with the child molesting allegations.
Vela was taken into custody at the Johnson County Jail on charges of criminal confinement with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon. She is being held on a $28,000 bond, police said.
Dail was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was not charged.
