Over the weekend, we shared with you Colin’s birthday saga story. Since then, the news has spread like wildfire and we wanted to give you an update.
This 10-year-old boy has several neurological disorders, similar to Aspergers and autism, which have made it extremely difficult for him to make friends.
Colin is lively and imaginative, and also self-aware about his social abilities. He told his mom, Jennifer, that she shouldn’t throw him an 11th birthday party because he didn’t think anyone would come. Jennifer turned to Facebook to crowdsource in an attempt to make this birthday special, and the Facebook page now has over 1.4 million likes.
