This 5-Year-Old Boy Decided To Donate His Chore Money To Replace Missing Library Books (Video)


This young boy is an incredible role model for giving back to the community. Kudos to his parents for doing a great job raising a generous and community-minded soul.
Lalo Nunez-al-Faisal is 5 years old, and he earns 25 cents per chore he does around the house in his hometown of Ames, Iowa.
His parents have him put the money into one of three jars, labeled “Spend,” “Save” and “Give.” Last week, while returning a book to the library, he dropped it in the snow, damaging it.
This created a sense of worry in him, as an avid reader and frequent user of the public library system.

He donated his whole “Give” jar, containing the largest amount of the three ($18.59), in a move that surprised the Ames Public Library. They posted a thank you on their Facebook page, saying,
